HI I'm Danielle! I am a Southern Californian with an insatiable appetite to travel. This all began in 2012. After living with international roommates, I was inspired by their differences in culture and languages that I became fascinated in learning about different countries. I wanted to gain an understanding of what these countries were all about.

My first international trip happened in 2013. Since 2013, I have made it a goal to make at least one trip a year. In 2021, I have visited over 14 countries. Candid Tales is my passion project to inspire others to get off the couch and experience all the wonders of the world. This blog is here to inspire and give you the real and ideal at the same time!
